After spending years battling with alcohol, I finally found myself in an addiction treatment center where I would start my journey to recovery. Once finishing and not sure what to do next, I was suggested trying Anchor of Hope.
They offered me a roof over my head. I was very grateful, but I still hadn't fully surrendered to addiction. I would still go back out a few more times in my journey, but Anchor of Hope never gave up on me and always gave me a chance.
Finally understanding the actions I must take to stay sober has helped a lot. What has truly helped more than anything I believe is the brotherhood I have found in Anchor of Hope. Surrounding myself with people who want to see me grow is a blessing. Being able to watch people come in their first night and stay days, months to years is what was helped. To watch others grow and see that is possible in recovery is amazing. The way they start to think and carry themselves throughout there journey is what continues to push me. The brothers I have met and grown with have become lifelong friends.
I was told in the beginning to surround myself with the winners. I have been able to do that through Anchor of Hope. I can't even imagine what life would be like without them taking chances on me and never giving up on me. I will always be grateful for what Anchor of Hope has done for me. I hope to continue to always have Anchor of Hope in my life and watch it grow with the people that are in it as well.
Recovery Is Possible.
